We stopped at this lookout overlooking Lake George on our way into Canberra the first day we arrived. Lake George does not look like a lake does it? I didn't think so. As far as the eye could see was nothing but barren grassland, and no water. Well, that is the mysterious part. Every 7 yrs the lake fills with water, then it disappears! I think for another 7 yrs. It goes in 7 yr cycles. Fills up and then disappears. No one really knows why or understands it. The energy around Lake George is not too pleasant either and strange things happen around there. I hear there are many accidents and people killed on the stretch of highway around it. Very weird.
