Thoughtfulness
Thoughtfulness simply means thinking of others. It means recognizing their humanity, acknowledging their value, and respecting their feelings. It means giving them a little boost when they are down, and celebrating their joy when they are up.
We can learn to become more thoughtful. Thinking of others feels good and contributes to all our relationships. We can remember to keep it simple. Expensive gifts are not usually the best way to be thoughtful. What others usually want from us is our attention - some sign that we really see them, hear them, and care for them. A card, a call, a few words of praise or encouragement - these are gifts of thoughtfulness.
"I think of others in all my relationships."
