Physical labor can give us a tremendous sense of satisfaction. We often talk about feeling a "good kind of tired" after strenuous workout. The products of this kind of labor are usually visible, touchable, and tangible. And this makes it very "real" to us.

The fruits of our labor rarely affect us alone. A clean window is a joy to look through. An orderly room is pleasant to be in. A beautiful lawn or garden blesses everyone who sees it. As well as the earth in which it grows.

Whether you are shoveling snow or building an ice sculpture...refinishing furniture or loading it on a truck...whether you are giving birth to a building, bridge, meal, flower bed, work of art, or baby - your labor can be filled with love. When your labor is filled with love, pride, joy, and purpose, it is a blessing to the whole world.
