4. When we worry, we concentrate our minds upon that which we do not want, and in doing so we create experiences we do not want.
5. If you cannot have what you want, remember to want what you have. We forget so easily the good fortunes we know daily – our health, our family and our friends, our loves. If you cannot have what you want, do not forget to love what you are fortunate enough to have.
6. It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.
7. Laughter is the shock absorber that eases the blows of life.
8. Independence does not mean we can never depend on anyone else for anything. It means taking care of ourselves. And taking care of ourselves means accepting the help we need from others.
9. There is only one way life can be lived; day by day, hour by hour, and minute by minute.
